An illustration Workshop was conducted by Ms Vandana Bist, an illustrator with over 25 years of experience, held at Manaskriti School for Aakar Wing, catering to students from grades 6 to 8. During the workshop, the students learned how to make illustrations for any prose of a poetry and for a short story. It is noteworthy that Ms Vandana Bist has illustrated several books, including that of Ratna Sagar. The students were also introduced to the fundamentals of illustrating, including design, layout, and breathing space in the illustration. The school’s principal, Ms Jyoti Bhalla, also guided the students on how to pick keywords from the text provided and incorporate them into the illustration. The art educators present at the workshop actively assisted the students with their work. The workshop was a great success and provided the students with an opportunity to explore their creativity and hone their illustration skills. Overall, the workshop was a great learning experience for the students.
