Importance of Emotional and Mental Wellness

If you have health, you probably will be happy. If you have health and happiness, you have all the wealth you need, even if it is not all you want.

Grade III Ambar presented a class assembly on the Importance of Emotional and Mental Wellness on Wednesday, 7th December 2022. The assembly began with students singing a prayer and sharing positive thoughts. Thereafter, they took pride in sharing various initiatives taken by their school to facilitate the all-round development of its learners including an integrated curriculum, Yoga, Physical Education, philanthropic opportunities such as emotional-wellness sessions by school counsellors and hands-on activities.

Students enacted different emotions and showed different techniques on how to manage them: anger, sadness, happiness, jealousy(5,4,3,2,1 grounding technique, box breathing, rainbow colours grounding technique, Breathe-Think-Do: problem-solving approach).

The class assembly culminated with learners energetically presenting Zumba dance moves. The assembly concluded with everyone singing the National Anthem together.
